Sto sistemando delle sedie. Le ho quasi finite...bianche shabby, per la nostra nuova prossima casa...pensavo ad un rivestimento neutro...ma non ho resistito ...mi sono spinta sul turchese...

I folletti in legno sono una tipica decorazione di Natale Scandinava.

Come racconta la tradizione gli elfi natalizi, i Tonttu in finlandese che è la loro lingua ufficiale, aiutano Babbo Natale a progettare e realizzare i giocattoli e i doni meravigliosi che lui porta ai bambini di tutto il mondo. Ma si dice anche che gli elfi abbiano altri compiti; alcuni di loro si prendono cura delle renne e della slitta di Babbo Natale perchè siano pronte a volare nel cielo alla vigilia di Natale, altri aiutano a tenere ordine nella lunga lista di bambini buoni e cattivi ad altri ancora stanno di guardia per mantenere segreta la località del villaggio di Babbo Natale. I folletti di Babbo Natale fanno spesso improvvise apparizioni nei giorni prima di Natale per controllare se i bambini si comportano bene e ubbidiscono ai loro genitori, per questo si crede che siano come dei piccoli agenti segreti che riferiscono quello che scoprono direttamente a Babbo Natale. La tradizione dice anche che questi simpatici folletti vivono sui monti Korvatunturi in Lapponia, nel nord della Finlandia.
