The art of weaving was already practiced by the ancient Indian populations and then forwarded to the Assyrians. The invention of the frame to the Egyptians. Its spread was quite low at the beginning because it was limited by the use of natural dyes: lane with white, black, grey, Brown and Brown. The birth of carpet knotting is contention by the Chinese, Egyptians, Persians, from this or that branch of Indo-European peoples. Literary sources and ancient texts describing the use and trade between the peoples of antiquity. These texts speak only of colors and decorations but does not mention any machining techniques, then there is the suspicion that they are embroidered or knotted carpets. The art of carpet has evolved in ancient times and began to assert itself in the civilizations through the imagination of the variety of designs and colors. The carpet was already known as an object of luxury, from the Etruscans as evidenced by the frescoes of the necropolis of Tarquinia and Settecamini at Orvieto. Ancient carpets has been very little, this is because, despite being made of solid fabric and with tight annodature, were intended for a use not allowed them to endure over time.
